No.194-ranked wild card Mirra Andreeva, 15, saved triple set point in the first set en route to upsetting No.13 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia in the second round of the Mutua Madrid Open. It was the first time Andreeva had faced a Top 20 player, and improved her pro record in 2023 to 15-0.
