Paolini upsets Haddad Maia in three hours for third Top 20 win of 2023
Jasmine Paolini came from a set and a break down to upset No.15 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia in a 2-hour, 59-minute China Open first round. The result was Paolini's third Top 20 win of 2023, and sixth in total.
