No.569-ranked South Korean wild card Back Dayeon pulled off a stunning upset in front of her home crowd in the first round of the Hana Bank Korea Open, coming from 5-2 down in the third set and saving one match point to defeat No.2 seed Jelena Ostapenko. Back had never previously faced a Top 200 opponent.
