Qualifier Suzan Lamens captured her first Hologic WTA Tour title at the 2024 Kinoshita Group Japan Open, dropping just one set in seven matches. The 25-year-old Dutchwoman -- already a WTA 125 champion this year in Oeiras -- defeated Kimberly Birrell in just the fourth tour-level final between qualifiers (or lucky losers) since 1990.
