NEW HAVEN, CT, USA - The top seeds at the Connecticut Open presented by United Technologies traded in their lab coats and glasses for a rule book to explain the new serve clock that debuted during this summer's US Open Series.
Three-time Connecticut Open champion Petra Kvitova leads a star-studded cast, which includes former champions Agnieszka Radwanska and Daria Gavrilova, ace rivals Karolina Pliskova and Julia Goerges, and amateur stunt comics Caroline Garcia and CoCo Vandeweghe, all of whom give line-reads fans will be repeating well into the US Open.
"We all love Petra, but she can take her time," Radwanska jokes about the two-time Wimbledon winner's propensity for pausing between points.
"The server will only be given 25 seconds to serve. Do not be late! We must be efficient!" Goerges notes.
