MATCH POINTS
Karolina Pliskova is the defending champion here, beating Caroline Wozniacki in last year's final 6-4, 6-4.
The Dane is a former winner at Eastbourne, lifting the title in 2009. She has not yet played a match on grass this season.

The Czech, seeded second, is looking for her second title of the season and her third career grass title, following last year's win here and in Nottingham in 2016.
Half of last year's doubles finalists are now retired. Martina Hingis won the title with partner Latisha Chan against Casey Dellacqua and her partner Ashleigh Barty, 6-3, 7-5.
Agnieszka Radwanska won the title in 2008, and finished as runner-up in 2015.
Kristina Mladenovic has played Heather Watson six times - but never before on grass. The Frenchwoman has four wins in their head-to-head.
Samantha Stosur and Alison van Uytvanck have met only once before - earlier this year, in Rome, when the Belgian won 6-7(6), 6-3, 6-2.
