1997 - Won ITF/Beograd-CRO and ITF/Campinas-BRA.
1998 - Made Tour debut at Warsaw as qualifier (l. 2r); won four ITF Circuit titles, three consecutively.
1999 - In fourth Tour event and seventh main draw match, ranked No.111, scored career-best win at Budapest, d. world No.4 Novotna in 1r, becoming lowest-ranked player since computer rankings began in November 1975 to d. a reigning Wimbledon champion, and tied for third-fastest (with Evert) to defeat a Top 5 player; afterwards (April 26), broke into Top 100 (at No.88); played first Grand Slams at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open; reached first Tour QF at Sopot as a qualifier (l. to No.17 Testud 75 third set); first-time member of Slovak Fed Cup Team.
