Married businessman Roger Cawley on June 19, 1975; their first child, daughter Kelly Inala, was born May 12, 1977, and son Morgan Kiema was born May 29, 1981...Evonne is the third eldest of eight children born to Ken and Melinda Goolagong...Played rugby, cricket and soccer as a child...Still enjoys fishing, especially for yabbies back home in Australia...The Cawleys purchased 70 acres on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA, in 1977 and built a 20-court tennis facility; relocated to Naples, Florida, USA, at the end of 1986; returned to Australia in 1992...Autobiography Home! The Evonne Goolagong Story was published in 1993.

1971 - Ended season as the No. 1-ranked player, having won Roland Garros and Wimbledon over No. 2 seed King and No. 1 Court
1976 - Won 33 of 35 matches entering VS Championships, where she d. Evert in 3s; a win in Wimbledon final would have taken her to No. 1 in the world, but lost 86 third set to Evert; following US Open final loss to Evert, discovered she was expecting her first child and finished with season-best ranking of No. 2
1977/78 - Returned at Canadian Open, following KellyÆs birth, losing 1r, but in November, went on 34 match-win streak, winning five titles, including tense Australian Open; also won Dallas over Austin and Boston (d. No. 2 Navratiloa and No. 1 Evert) before losing final at Virginia Slims Championships and moving back to No. 3 in the world after winning 46 of 49 matches between November - March
1979 - Became fifth female player to win $1 million in career prize money by reaching Tokyo (Silhook) final
1980 - Captured 1980 Wimbledon title, becoming first mother to win the crown since Dorothea Lambert Chambers in 1914; also remarkable was that she matched Bill Tilden in having the longest gap between Wimbledon singles titles, nine years
1983 - Despite a great 1r appearance at 1985 Australian Indoors, officially ended career at Birmingham following Round of 16 l. to A. White
