Career in Review

2019 - Reached two finals last season, finishing R-Up at St. Petersburg in first Premier-level final (l. Bertens) and Nottingham (l. Garcia). Posted best win-by-ranking with defeat of No.2 Kvitova during St. Petersburg; only lost to World No.1 Osaka in Stuttgart courtesy of third-set tie-break. Posted best Grand Slam result in 2019, reaching QF at US Open, and also reached R16 at Roland Garros for the first time. Closed out 2019 by qualifying for WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai, bowing out in Round Robin stage (went 0-2).

2018 - Posted first Top 50 season (finishing at No.34); runner-up at Washington DC (l. to Kuznetsova 46 76(7) 62; held 4mp); SF twice at Nottingham (l. to Konta) and Tokyo (l. to Ka.Pliskova); QF three times at Hobart (l. to Watson), Istanbul (l. to Begu) and Luxembourg (l. to Goerges); reached 4r at Wimbledon (l. to Goerges), 3r twice and 2r eight times (incl.
