MATCH POINTS
Ons Jabeur

View Profile picked up the third Top 10 win of her career over Sloane Stephens in the second round. The second Top 10 win of Jabeur's career came two weeks ago against Simona Halep, when the World No.1 retired with a back injury during their China Open first-round match (which was Jabeur's first and only Top 5 win to date).

Jabeur and Anett Kontaveit have only played once before, with Kontaveit picking up the straight-set win at a Challenger event in Preston, Great Britain in 2014.

Daria Kasatkina

View Profile and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova

will meet for the third time -- and all three of their matches will have taken place at the VTB Kremlin Cup within the last three years. Pavlyuchenkova won their Moscow semifinal in 2015, while Kasatkina claimed the victory in the first round of Moscow last year.

Johanna Konta beat Aliaksandra Sasnovich

View Profile in their only prior meeting, in the second round of the Miami Open presented by Itau last year. Konta went on to win the biggest title of her career to date at that very event.

The only prior match between Vera Zvonareva and Anastasija Sevastova took place way back in 2010, in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, with Zvonareva winning. In that match, Zvonareva was the defending Indian Wells champion while Sevastova was outside the top 70; now Zvonareva is a qualifier and a mom while Sevastova is at a career-high ranking of World No.11.
