Career in Review

After taking 2022 away from the sport, Hsieh returned to compete in doubles in April 2023 at Madrid reaching QF (w/Strycova). Then won two Grand Slam doubles titles in 2023; Wimbledon (w/Strycova) and Roland Garros (w/Wang Xinyu), also reached SF at US Open (w/Wang Xinyu). Competed in singles at only three tournaments in 2023; Strasbourg, Wimbledon and Cincinnati.

Singles highlight in 2021 was reaching maiden Grand Slam QF at Australian Open (l. eventual champion Osaka), upsetting No.8 seed Andreescu en route

Forged a successful partnership w/Mertens in doubles, winning Wimbledon and Indian Wells, while finishing R-Up at WTA Finals Guadalajara

In doubles, finished 2020 as the WTA Year-End World No.1 for the first time in her career, having first ascended to the top ranking on May 12, 2014

Posted 1-6 record in singles in 2020, with sole win coming at Roland Garros over Haas before falling to the eventual champion Swiatek
