Career in Review

In 2023 competed in first full season in three years. From February to August, posted 46 - 10 match record on ITF circuit. In August lifted WTA 125 Stanford title (d. Rakhimova) and reached 2r at US Open (as qualifier, l. Boulter). Began the year ranked No. 418 and by the end of 2023 had climbed back into Top 100.

Played five months on the ITF circuit in 2022, before taking more time away from the sport from May onwards.

Returned to the Tour in 2021, but continuing covid travel challenges made Wimbledon her last tournament of the year (reached 1r as a qualifier, l. Siniakova).

Played only six tournaments in 2020 due to covid restrictions, ending her season in March after reaching QF in singles and R-Up in doubles (w/M.Kato) at Monterrey.

Reached first WTA singles final in 2019, defeating Kenin to lift title at Acapulco; made Top 50 debut the following week before hit career high-ranking of No.47 on October 7

Other highlights were SF runs at Shenzhen and Seoul, and QF showings at Hua Hin, Mallorca and Tianjin

Matched best result at WTA Premier Mandatory level by making R16 at 2019 Miami (also reached this stage in 2018 at same event, as qualifier); during Miami run defeated No.5 Svitolina for best win by-ranking of career (bettering defeat of No.20 Stosur at 2014 Guangzhou)

Contested the main draw of each Grand Slam in a calendar year for the first time in 2019, reaching 2r at both Australian Open and Wimbledon (also made this stage at 2016 and 2018 US Open)

Season highlight in 2018 was reaching SF at Taipei City (l. eventual champion Babos), where she also won doubles title w/Duan

Strong performances at WTA 125K Series events in 2018 highlighted by R-Up finish at Zhengzhou (l. S.Zheng)
