MELBOURNE, Australia - Madison Keys went into the Australian Open as somewhat of an unknown quantity - obviously one of the most talented and most dangerous players on the tour, but without a big breakthrough since winning the first WTA title of her career on the lawns of Eastbourne last summer.

But that all changed in Melbourne as Keys scored the biggest win of her career against a No.4-ranked Petra Kvitova in the third round to reach the second week of a major for the first time, then extended that run all the way to her first Grand Slam semifinal, beating Venus Williams along the way before falling to Serena Williams in a dramatic two-setter. Keys subsequently broke the world's Top 20.

CNN Open Court caught up with the WTA Rising Star after her Australian Open run, talking about everything from her inspirations to playing the Williams sisters back to back - watch it right here!
