Serena Williams has defeated a record eight different World No.1s on 17 occasions - her first coming over Martina Hingis in the 1999 Miami semifinals and most recent over Simona Halep at the 2019 Australian Open.

Lindsay Davenport's first No.1 win was over Stefanie Graf in the 1996 Los Angeles semifinals and her last over Amélie Mauresmo in the 2006 New Haven quarterfinals, but 11 of her 15 total came over Martina Hingis.
