BACKGROUND 

Dr. Alexis Colvin is a board certified orthopedic and sports medicine surgeon with extensive experience treating athletes of all ages and abilities.  Dr. Colvin serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the U.S. Open, the team physician for the U.S. BJK Cup team, and served as Chief Medical Officer of the USTA until its relocation to Florida.  Dr. Colvin has also served as a physician at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.  She has been selected multiple times by Crain's New York to its "Notable Women in the Business of Sports List" and has been recognized as one of New York Magazine's Best Doctors since 2016.

EDUCATION 

Dr. Alexis Colvin received her Doctor of Medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She then completed her residency at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. 

EXPERTISE 

Dr. Colvin is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery as well as Associate Dean for Alumni Affairs at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  She has authored numerous scientific publications and presentations at both national and international meetings on sports medicine. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.  She is also a member of the Board of Directors for Let Her Play, an organization dedicated to improving girls' engagement in sports across the U.S.
