A prodigious talent from the get-go, Ashleigh Barty was a former junior World No.2, winning the girls' singles title at Wimbledon in 2011 at the age of 15.

Teaming with her good friend Casey Dellacqua, Barty enjoyed early success in doubles. The Aussie duo won their first team title at 2013 Birmingham.

Barty and Dellacqua made three major finals in 2013, finishing as runner-ups at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and US Open.

After a two-year hiatus, Barty returned to tour competition at 2016 Nottingham. Ranked outside the Top 600, Barty made the semifinals as a qualifier.
