CINCINNATI, OH, USA - Veteran Czech Lucie Hradecka sealed her third career Western & Southern Open title with a third different partner after a dominant performance alongside Andreja Klepac on Saturday night.

The No.8 seeds sealed their first title as a team with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Demi Schuurs.

"I don't know - it's like some magic. I think today we played very well, and Andreja played unbelievable," the Czech said after the match.

"I really like this tournament here, and I have a lot of memories from the past. I'm so happy that we did it this year as well, and hope we'll be continuing our level."

With four veteran doubles players on the court, both pairs were battling for their first team titles together, but it was the No.8 seeds who pulled away after they secured the first break of the match in the seventh game of the opener.

Hradecka and Klepac won nine of the last 11 games from 3-3 in the first set, and broke the No.5 seeds in each of their four service games in the second set as Groenefeld and Schuurs dropped to 0-5 in finals this season.

"I think we are good friends on and off the court. We have good chemistry on court and we just fight for every ball until the end," Klepac said.

"We played a very good match today, a very good level, and I'm really, really happy with the win tonight."

The pair's best result this season prior to arriving in Cincinnati was a semifinal showing at the Volvo Car Open in April, but after reaching the third round of the French Open, they were on a three-match losing streak coming in after losing in the opening round in Eastbourne, Wimbledon and Toronto.

The pair did not drop a set in four completed matches this week, having also earned a walkover from top seeds and Wimbledon champions Barbora Strycova and Hsieh Su-wei in the quarterfinals.

"First round is always a difficult one, but I think the match, for me, at least that gave me a lot was the first round in the previous tournament [where they lost to Timea Babos and Anett Kontaveit in Canada]," Klepac said.

"I think we corrected our mistakes. We try to correct them in every match, be better and improve in every aspect of the game and it worked out pretty good this week."
