"I feel ready and really warmed-up at the beginning of these matches," Siniakova said after the match.

"Maybe I might as well miss the first set and come on court for the second and third!" she added with a laugh.

Emerging from four consecutive service breaks, Siniakova began to get into the match as she exchanged holds of serve until the all-important 10th game, where she converted the second of two set points on Brengle's serve.

The final set went entirely to the Czech youngster, who saved a break point in the opening game and ultimately roared to victory, winning the match at love.

Standing between Siniakova and her first WTA singles final of the season will be either Tamara Zidansek or Veronika Kudermetova, who play the final quarterfinal match on Thursday.

"I expect another tough match. It'll be a good opponent no matter who, so I'm just going to fight, and hopefully I'll win again."
