Beck in final); was just third Brazilian in Open Era to win a WTA title, after Maria Bueno (who won three) and Neige Dias (who won two); made Top 50 debut on August 3 (after Florianopolis; rose from No.78 to No.48); reached 2r five times (incl. Roland Garros); fell 1r five times (incl. Wimbledon and US Open) and in qualifying three times (incl. Australian Open); also won one singles title on ITF Circuit.
