MATCH POINTS

Laura Siegemund has a 2-0 head-to-head lead over Patricia Maria Tig. Both of Siegemund's victories came in 2016: in the first round of Charleston (on clay) and the first round of the US Open (on hardcourt).

Siegemund seeks the fourth WTA singles final of her career. She won titles at Bastad in 2016 and Stuttgart in 2017, and also reached the final at Stuttgart in 2016.

Tig, currently unranked after peaking at World No.83 in 2017, is playing her first event at WTA-level since the Guangzhou Open nearly two years ago. She is aiming to reach her second WTA singles final, after Baku in 2015.

This will be the first meeting between Elena Rybakina and Martina Di Giuseppe. Rybakina is looking to reach her first WTA singles final, having just made her first-ever WTA semifinal at s-Hertogenbosch last month.

Di Giuseppe earned her first three main-draw wins at WTA-level this week. She and Tig are the first qualifiers to reach the semifinals of this event.
